“Persons of interest” in a Lake Havasu City homicide have turned themselves in to law enforcement authorities. Police wanted to question Steven Upton, 38, and his girlfriend, Michelle Angelo, 35, about the July 25 stabbing death of Thomas Comer, 40.

Lake Havasu police sergeant Kirk Cesena said Upton turned was arrested July 28 on drug charges, tampering with evidence and failing to appear in court. Additional charges could result from ongoing investigation and case review by the Mohave County Attorney’s office.

Cesena said Angelo turned herself in at the Kingman police department Monday, August 1. Angelo was questioned by detectives who traveled to Kingman.
