WACOG Head Start-Early Head Start is accepting enrollment applications for the 2017-2018 school year for Mohave County centers.
Head Start-Early Head Start is a family service -oriented program that promotes shared responsibility with parents for children’s early learning and development. Head Start-EHS provides comprehensive developmentally appropriate education services for children.
Head Start services are provided for children, 3 and 4 years old by August 31st whose families meet income eligibility guidelines. Early Head Start provides services for infants and toddlers, birth through 2 years of age, whose families meet income eligibility income guidelines.
The program partners with families to ensure children receive medical and dental services, immunizations and other needed health services. Additionally, Head Start-Early Head Start ensures special education services are provided for children with speech/language delays, hearing or vision problems, developmental delays, emotional or behavior problems and physical/orthopedic disabilities.
Parents of age-eligible children with currently diagnosed special education needs in any area of disabilities are especially encouraged to apply for WACOG Head Start.
To apply for enrollment, parents or legal guardians are asked to complete the Head Start application and provide a copy of the child’s immunization record, birth record and proof of 2016 income.
Applications are available at Head Start centers located in Bullhead City, Golden Valley, Kingman, Lake Havasu and Mohave Valley, or at the main Head Start office in Kingman.
