The driver who led police on a high-speed chase in police custody.  Trooper Tim Case with the Department of Public Safety says a 22-year-old woman was weaving in and out of traffic alone Interstate-10 near Gila Bend when she put her car in high gear to avoid police.  The woman hit speeds up to 115 to 122 miles per

hour.  DPS tossed out spike strips to flatten the tires and stop the car.  The stop sticks punctured the tires and cause the woman to spin out and crash.  She was not injured and taken into custody.  It’s unclear why the woman took off and it’s unclear whether alcohol was a factor.  The investigation continues.
