Mohave County will begin two rehabilitation projects on June 8, 2015 on portions of Old Highway 91. The two projects include Sand Hollow Bridge and a reinforced concrete box culvert which are located between the intersection of Highway 91 and Scenic Boulevard and ending near the intersection of Highway 91 and South Hillside Drive. The contractor of record is Trade West Construction, Inc., of Mesquite, Nevada.
Trade West will begin work on June 8, 2015 and will close Highway 91 northbound at Scenic Boulevard and southbound near the intersection of Highway 91 and South Hillside Drive on June 14, 2015 for a period of 45 days. Work on the box culvert will be completed within 45 days. Work on the Bridge will require an additional 45 days; however, the road will be open to one-lane traffic at that time. All work will be completed by early September 2015.
While the road is limited to one-lane traffic, motorists traveling through the project area should expect delays of less than 10 minutes. Flagmen will be utilized to provide maintenance and protection of traffic through the work zone and maintain single-lane roadway operations over the Bridge.
