Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shane Ivan Ramirez, 29, of Bullhead City, and Alma Rosa Parra, 34, of Lancaster, CA, early Tuesday (12/8) morning. Ramirez was arrested for hindering prosecution, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with knowingly displaying fictitious license plate, a misdemeanor. Parra was arrested for hindering prosecution, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 1:40 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Chaparral Road and Pearl Street. Deputies observed both occupants moving around in the vehicle and for a few moments they both disappeared from site. Deputies contacted the driver who verbally identified himself as Ramirez and the passenger identified as Parra. Deputies observed Ramirez to be extremely nervous. Deputies smelled an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A computer check showed the registration on the license plate had expired in 2014, but the plate was displaying a 2015 tag. Ramirez was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed several pieces of marijuana on the driver’s seat, a marijuana pipe on the floorboard, rolling papers and a plastic bag containing marijuana residue. Deputies questioned Parra about trying to hide the marijuana and she said that she spilled it. Parra was taken into custody without incident. They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. While Parra was being booked into the jail, Detention Officers located a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance on her person. Parra was additionally charged with possession of dangerous drugs, felony.
