Phoenix police have arrested three people who may be connected to a violent home invasion in Maryvale Tuesday night.  Sergeant Jon Howard with Phoenix police says three men jumped a fence and confronted a man in his yard and burst their way into his home. The men robbed the home and ran from the scene.

Police showed up and saw the men running and arrested two suspects right away.  A third suspect got away.  While police were checking homes and canvassing the area, they knocked on a door and searched a home where they found the third suspect hiding in a closet.  An investigation revealed the suspect broke into the home and held the family hostage for about 30 minutes.  Police discovered the red SUV the suspects had driven and found a trifecta of criminal evidence – drugs, guns and money.  The men have not been booked on the original home invasion, but they were arrested on unrelated charges.  Police are still investigating the robbery and charges are pending.
