Phoenix police are investigating a home invasion that ended in gun fire.  Sergeant Vince Lewis with Phoenix police says a 53-year-old man was shot after answering his door in the middle of the night.  The victim told police a stranger knocked on his door at 3 a.m. and when he started to open the door, the suspect pushed his

way in and shot the resident multiple times.    The victim was transported to the hospital in serious, but stable condition.  The suspect ran from the apartment.  The victim told police the suspect yelled out a name that he didn’t know, so it’s possible the suspect went to the wrong apartment.  There is no description of the suspect.
