Two people were not injured when a Jeep Cherokee backed into their living room in Bullhead City Thursday, June 9. The incident in the 2400 block of Highland Trail occurred at 10:05 a.m.

Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt identified the driver as 60-year-old Jon Fry, who lives across the street from the home that was damaged. Fromelt said Fry told officers that he was backing up when the Jeep accelerated and would not respond to braking.

Fromelt said Fry backed all the way across the street, through a short block wall and into the residence of the home with half of his vehicle entering the living room. She said investigators are not certain if there was a malfunction with the vehicle or if Fry accidentally hit the brake and gas pedals at the same time.
