One man is in custody, another still on the run after both suspects allegedly stab a transient man to death. Phoenix Police say the two suspect had been sleeping in the parking lot of Charley’s Bar on 7th Avenue and Camelback around 4:30 a.m. Monday morning. They awoke to find a man 25 to 35 years
old stealing their belongings. Sergeant Paul Taylor says the pair then chased him down, got into a fight, and the victim was stabbed.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. One suspect, identified as 55 year old Von Richard Mraz, is now in custody. Police are still looking for a second man, described as a 60 to 65 year old white male with long blond hair who’s known to frequent the business area.
