A Lake Havasu City man jailed for manslaughter in the accidental shooting death of a friend is now facing a charge of second degree murder. A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of Eric Huffman, 22, during his October 26 arraignment hearing in Kingman.

Lake Havasu City police said Huffman and 26-year-old Kristopher Setser had been drinking together when Huffman pointed a handgun at Setser and fired, thinking the weapon was unloaded on Friday, October 9. Setser died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Huffman is facing a case management hearing on November 16, though he could appear in court sooner for a review of his release conditions.
