The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office says deputies have removed an erratic driver off the road, but not before he sent another car into a brick wall. P-C-S-O Spokesman Mark Clark says multiple 9-1-1 calls reported a white Honda making dangerous moves, colliding with a family of five. That vehicle

crashed into a residential wall on Hunt Highway west of Paso Fino Way. Clark says he ran from the accident scene, but deputies soon located him and brought him back where was identified as the driver who caused the accident.

The two adults and three children, all under six years old, suffered only minor injuries. “It could’ve been a lot worse”, says Clark.

22 year old Cesar Lavarga-Carranza, an illegal Mexican national, faces charges of Impaired Driving, Aggravated Assault, Hit and Run and Criminal Damage. Clark says the suspect has admitted to being in the country illegally.
