The Mohave County Sheriff’s office recently assisted the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control in shutting down a bar that was operating in the desert north of Lake Havasu City.

Proprietor Troy Nelson was cited March 3 when authorities shut down his Razzor Ridge bar in the area of Havasu Heights. Authorities said they seized $682 in cash and about $2,000 in alcohol.

Two pickup trucks loaded with booze are featured in a news release issued by the sheriff’s office. A representative of the state agency said porta potties, tables and chairs had been set up to support the unauthorized bar operation.

Mohave County officials were also investigating possible code enforcement violations.
