A Kingman man was caught illegally dumping miscellaneous household waste in the Kingman desert.
Christopher McKinney, 35, was booked on two warrants. The man was also charged with criminal littering for commercial purposes and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, all class 6 felonies.
On July 12th, 2017 ERACE detectives received a telephone call from a witness about the man dumping trash in the desert area off Airway Avenue approximately one mile east of Prospector Street.
The information provided by witnesses and the course of their investigation led them to observe the man unloading the remainder of trash debris from a truck bed while parked in a gully.
Detectives contacted the man and he admitted to detectives that he dumped the trash debris for an unspecified amount of money he was to receive upon completion of the job.
The man was arrested for two outstanding warrants out of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Detectives located two drug paraphernalia items on the man.
The man was transported and booked by a Mohave County Sheriff’s deputy that arrived on scene.
The detectives placed the trash debris back into the vehicle and it was towed pursuant to an arrest without incident.
The copy of the report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office with a class 6 felony charge of illegal dumping and two class 6 felony charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
