With the recent departure of CEO Yvonne Woytovich, the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce is not shying away from the opportunity for change. The Board of Directors led by Chairperson Lynne Petersen of Unisource Energy Services says, “Our foundation is strong. We have a great Staff, active committees and a dedicated Board, but we also recognize that our business community faces unique opportunities and challenges. It is critical that the Chamber evolves with the needs of our members. We are using this opportunity to review our direction and make meaningful changes.”
Recognizing the need for a new vision, the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce has retained the consulting services of Ignite Brand Marketing; also appointing President Liza Noland as interim Chamber CEO. Known for innovative marketing initiatives like Kingman Circle–a marketing consortium that brands the Kingman community across advertising platforms around the world–and management consulting for some of the most established companies in Kingman, Ignite Brand Marketing and the Chamber organization as a whole will evaluate opportunities to provide value to membership and increase the influence of the Chamber on Kingman’s business economy.
“Communities like ours need the support and services of a strong Chamber,” states Noland. “We’re excited about the opportunity to meet face to face with current and past Chamber members and gain a better understanding of how we can build an organization that enhances their business goals.”
The Chamber will coordinate their search to fill the open CEO position within Ignite Brand Marketing’s expected project completion date of three months. If everything goes according to plan, the newly hired CEO will be ready to start as the project wraps up; understanding the new direction from the beginning, and the necessity of implementing a new structure and vision for the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce.
