Phoenix firefighters use the “jaws of life” to rescue several people from a car involved in a horrific car accident. Captain Benjamin Santillan with Phoenix Fire says four people critically injured after a truck T-boned a car in Phoenix.  He says “multiple calls came in about a car that was completely smashed with people

inside who were bleeding.”  Bystanders were unable to get the people out of the car, but attempted to calm the victims while waiting for help.  Firefighters had to resort to the jaws of life to cut the people out of car all the while trying treat the patients.  Three people were transferred to the hospital in critical condition and the fourth suffered serious injuries. All the victims were in their early 20’s.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.
