A Maricopa County Superior Court judge splits the legal-baby
and rules in favor of and against both the City of Glendale and the Coyotes
hockey team in their ongoing arena lease agreement saga.

Judge Dawn Bergen is
ordering the city to make their quarterly payment to the team and ordering the
team to increase their secured bond to $1-Million dollars ahead of hearings to
ultimately decide the matter.  Glendale
argues that it can cancel the lease deal because two city employees who
negotiated it are now working for the coyotes, while the team maintains that
all was done in good faith and they city is just pressuring them to renegotiate
the lease.
