mohave countyMohave County is accepting applications until the end of the month in hopes of filling a Commissioner Court judge pro tempore position that will be vacant at the end of the year. Derek Carlisle has held the position for roughly five years but, following his republican primary election win in August, he’s been elected to Division 2 Superior Court judge. Carlisle will succeed retiring Judge Randolph Bartlett, whose term expires at the end of the year. Licensed attorneys residing in Arizona who meet other criteria are eligible to apply for possible appointment to the Commission position. A judicial committee will convene to review applications and select those who will be invited for preliminary interview. It is expected that finalists for the position will be publicly identified in advance of a selection and hiring decision.
