Supervisor Buster Johnson would like to inform the public that Thursday’s Superior Court interviews will be live streamed on the County’s Youtube page.

“Governor Ducey is trying to make the process as transparent as possible. Anyone wishing to ask questions or make a comment is welcome to attend the interviews,” Johnson said.

Governor Ducey staff members will be interviewing three finalists for the Superior Court Judge position that was left vacant at the end of June when Judge Steven Conn retired.

“Whoever is selected for Conn’s position will have some big shoes to fill,” Johnson said. “Conn was a very well respected judge throughout the County and he will be truly missed.”

The three finalist for Conn’s position are:
•Mohave County Supervisor Steven Moss from District 5. He will be interviewed at 2:00 p.m.

•Judge Jill Davis who is currently serving as Justice of the Peace in Lake Havasu City and also as a Superior Court judge pro tem. She will be interviewed at 2:30 p.m.

•Bill Sipe, a longtime defense attorney in Kingman who was appointed to Mohave County Commissioner Court in 2014 and served as judge pro tem. He will be interviewed at 3:00 p.m.

All interviews will include a public comment period and will take place in the County Administration Board of Supervisors Auditorium in Kingman located at 700 W. Beale Street.

Whoever is picked out of the three finalists will take over Conn’s spot until the voters decide in 2018 on an official replacement.
