Someone claiming to be from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office is calling individuals and threatening to arrest those who do not show up for jury duty. Deputy Tracy Suitt says it’s all scam and warns people not to fall for it.

The scammers are also asking for personal information and trying to convince individuals to buy pre-paid credit cards and mail it in to avoid being arrested. No one from the sheriff’s office will ask for personal information over the phone or request for pre-paid credit cards as well as never arrest you for missing jury duty.
