chamber   An extensive recruitment and selection process has led to the hiring of a new President and CEO of the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber Board Chairman Lynne Petersen said Gregg Martin starts his new job on Monday, September 26.
``We are very, very excited," Petersen said. ``We believe that he can really help the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce move into our next phase, our next evolution, and ultimately help business here succeed and help us bring in new business."
Petersen said Martin retired from a hospital executive position in Sumter, South Carolina, moving to Kingman a couple of years ago with his wife, who works at Kingman Regional Medical Center.
``A lot of his background is in the health care system as he served as a COO for a privat, non-profit 301 bed community hospital in South Carolina," Petersen said. ``He has experience in managing lots of employees. And he has experience developing and executing strategy and truly running a business."
