No one was injured in a December 12 residential structure in Kingman. Fire Department personnel responded at 9:00 a.m. to the home in the 2600 block of Ricca Drive.
Each of the occupants of the home had evacuated before arriving firefighters spotted a dark brown smoke coming from the roof around a vent.
“Crews performed a very quick knock down of the interior fire and cleared the remaining smoke with a ventilation fan,” said Kingman Fire Marshal Leonard DeJoria. “While the fire remains under investigation, electrical wiring is believed to be the cause of the fire.”
The initial estimate of damage to the home and its contents is valued at $17,000.
