A routine stop for a traffic offense in downtown Kingman evolved into a drug bust. Deputy Kingman police chief Rusty Cooper said an officer made the traffic stop at 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, August 6.
The driver of the 2008 Honda Ridgeline pulled over in the 700 block of W. Beale St. was identified as Kevin Rosales, 20, Dumas, Texas.
“The officer and a KPD narcotice K9 located approximately 12 pounds of methamphetamine in a hidden compartment of the vehicle,” Cooper said. Rosales was booked into jail on narcotics related charges.
