A late Tuesday morning traffic stop evolved into a drug bust in Kingman. A moving violation reportedly prompted the 11:15 a.m. stop of a vehicle on U.S. 93. Kingman Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said it was determined that the driver, Michael William Mitchell, 33, Golden Valley, was wanted for a justice court warrant and that his driver’s license was in suspended status. “Kingman Police K9 Sam was utilized in the investigation and alerted on the vehicle for illicit drugs,” Sochocki said. “A search of the vehicle resulted in locating approximately four ounces of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.” Mitchell was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County jail on various dangerous drug related and other charges.
