IMG_0215The Kingman Police Department Explorers Post 47 took first place in the “Downed Officer Rescue” simulated category at the Ex-Con 2015 competition held over the weekend in Las Vegas.

The explorers program expressed thanks to the community who helped contribute to the group, which allowed them to attend the event. It was the first time the Kingman Police Explorers participated in this competition with 35 other Law Enforcement Explorers Posts over the course of the one day competition.

Eight of the KPD Explorers participated in twelve events, which included Active Shooter, Suspicious Person Stop, Unknown Risk Traffic Stop, Downed Officer Rescue, Crime Scene Response, Team Challenge, Obstacle Course, Urban Bicycle Course, Air Soft Gun Shoot, Firearms Simulator, Fire Hose Tug of War, and Hogan’s Alley.
