The Kingman Police Department has been awarded $20,000 by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to be utilized for overtime to enhance DUI/Impaired Driving Enforcement throughout the City of Kingman from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016.  The Impaired Driving Program Goal is to reduce the incidence of alcohol and drug related driving, fatalities and injuries through enforcement, education and public awareness throughout the State of Arizona.

The Kingman Police Department is part of the Western Arizona DUI Taskforce, which includes the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and the Arizona Department of Public Safety and other area agencies along the Colorado River.  The Western Arizona DUI Taskforce will conduct DUI saturation patrols throughout the year during holidays and special events.
