Construction at the Lake Havasu State Park in Lake Havasu City near State Route 95 is underway. While excavating work is taking place at State Park Lot 4 in preparation for the improvements, crews will need to perform prescribed burnings on Tuesday, Feb. 9 and Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The $4 million improvement project includes widening Main Park Road, constructing a new boat launch ramp and upgrading the current parking area. Work is scheduled through September.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
