Mohave County supervisors have formally accepted an appraisal for more than 24 acres of county-owned property within the city of Kingman. Various groups and individuals are interested on developing a community lake on a portion of the property lying between the county library and the senior center.
The parcel is appraised at just over $3-million. County staff will now work to determine how the land might be sold, leased or otherwise transferred to allow project development. Arizona Game and Fish wants to be a project partner and local and state Elks organizations might provide funding assistance.
