mohaveA possible drowning victim at Lake Mead has been identified as a Las Vegas man. 46-year-old Carlos Campos was pulled from the water  while swimming near Boulder Beach early Sunday afternoon. “The National Park Service responded and initiated life-saving care,” said NPS spokeswoman Christie Vanover. “The victim could not be revived and was pronounced dead at 1:44 p.m.” Vanover said Campos was not wearing a life jacket. An autopsy and cause of death determination will await toxicology which could take several weeks to complete.
