bridgeBullhead City Manager Toby Cotter advises of likely traffic delays associated with resurfacing the approach on the Arizona side of the Colorado River bridge extending to Laughlin, Nevada. Cotter said the work that will extend into spring begins next week.
“That intersection is in need of repair, the asphalt is coming apart. It’s really one of the busiest intersections in the city,” Cotter said. “We’ve been working with ADOT for a few years for a rehabilitation project there. They have about $1.5-million budgeted for concrete reconstruction.”
Cotter said crews will work from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.
“We all have to have some patience with that project,” Cotter said. He said the contractor is required to complete the resurfacing effort by next May, but expressed hope that the job could be completed more quickly.
