Casinos along the Colorado River didn’t fare as well as the rest of the state during the month of July. The Nevada Gaming control board reported that the statewide gaming win for July inched just above the $1-billion mark, almost a 10% increase from the same month last year.

The trend was opposite in Laughlin. Casinos there reported a $37.4-million gaming win, down 1.6% from July of last year.
