Black community leaders have just learned tributes to Confederate States President Jefferson Davis exist on an Arizona highway and marker. African-American State lawmaker Reginald Bolding is taking action.

A portion of US-60 in Apache Junction and a marker bears Davis’ name.  Bolding says a name change application must be submitted to the Arizona State Board of Geographic and Historic Names. If the board approves the change, the State Transportation Board would make the final decision.
