Diane Richards has been without a lawyer for most of the last five weeks following her arrest for allegedly embezzling more than $1.1-million while previously working as a Budget Analyst for the City of Kingman. Mohave County Indigent Defense Administrator Blake Schritter said he secured legal counsel for Richards on Wednesday, February 24.
Schritter said various issues involved in the case made it more difficult to find representation for Richards. He said Flagstaff defense attorney Adam Zickerman will handle the case for $85 an hour.
Zickerman is expected to be on hand when Richards, 52, makes her next court appearance in Kingman on Monday.
