hot tempsLAKE HAVASU CITY-The city offices, fire stations and other public facilities are getting ready to help any citizen in need of temporary refuge during the excessive heat wave expected this week.

City manager Charlie Cassens said the city facilities are equipped with emergency supplies of water and are ready to receive any person who may find themselves overcome by the high temperatures.

“The measures will remain in place as long as the high temps remain in the forecast,” said Cassens.

Temperatures are expected to range between 112-118 in the Colorado River region well into next week, according to the National Weather Service.

People are asked to keep a vigilant eye out on children, pets, the homeless, the elderly and those with chronic illnesses.
