For the past year volunteers have been raising funds to relocate the Lil’ Red School House into the Colorado River Heritage Center at Bullhead City Community Park. Out of an original $150,000+ needed, the Heritage Center Task Force is now just $9,000 away from achieving Phase Two of the Heritage Center development plan. On February 5 Black Bear Restaurant joined in the partnership by conducting a fund raiser. For every customer who presented a flyer about the event, Black Bear Restaurant donated 35% to the Colorado River Heritage Center. Total funds raised from this event were $520.00. Kim Koyas, General Manager for the Black Bear Restaurant commented, “This event was one of the most successful fundraising events we have hosted. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the Heritage Center by hosting another event in the future.” For additional information on how a business or individuals can become a part of the Heritage Center efforts please contact John Masterson at (928) 763-6252 or (928) 542-2447
