Bullhead City Animal Care & Welfare (ACW) and T.L.C. (Tender Loving Care) Veterinary Services are making a difference in the community by encouraging responsible pet ownership.
In April, veterinarian services were provided to 77 pet owners, including 87 dogs and 2 cats, while administering 161 vaccinations. (62 rabies, 50 distemper/parvo, 34 Bordetella, 15 Lepto). The clinics have also provided deworming medication for 23 animals, inserted 8 microchips, and gave 6 wellness exams.
“Residents should take advantage of these low cost clinics where services are performed by a licensed veterinarian,” said Bradley Oliver, Support Services Division Manager / Animal Care & Welfare Bureau Manager. “Getting your pet licensed and vaccinated against rabies is not only required, but helps keep your pet healthy. T.L.C. also offers other vaccines and health care services for cats and dogs.”
ACW and T.L.C. offer low cost vaccines and health care on the second and fourth Thursday of every month. The next clinic will be on Thursday, May 11th from 9 a.m. – 12 noon at the Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare Facility, 2270 Trane Road.
