The suspect who struck a Tucson Police officer with a stolen vehicle is in custody.  Sergeant Chris Widmer with Tucson Police says 24-year-old Laine Ogletree was seen trying to break into a store when officers chased him down through the store parking lot Wednesday.  Ogletree broke into a car and police

nearly grabbed the suspect when he ran over the officer and sped off. The officer fired several shots at Ogletree as he raced from the parking lot.  The officer who was struck by the car suffered minor injuries.  Hours later, Ogletree was located at a gas station in Winkleman, about 70 miles north of Tucson suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  Ogletree will be booked on a slew of charges once he is released from the hospital.
