Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephen Alva White, 63, of Cane Beds, early Monday (12/15) afternoon for possession of marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 1:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 3100 block of South 1850 East in reference to possible drug activity. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male subject, later identified as White, as he answered the door. Deputies immediately smelled an odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the residence. Deputies questioned White and he advised that he does not have a medical marijuana card. Deputies entered the residence. Deputies observed a plastic bag of marijuana, pipes with burnt marijuana and a small scale on the kitchen table. White advised that he has more marijuana. During the investigation, deputies observed a large sealed vacuum package containing marijuana, a glass jar containing marijuana, several plastic bags containing marijuana and a wooden box with cash located inside a large plastic container. During a consent search, deputies located a few pills identified as a dangerous drug. Deputies also contacted Nathan Barlow Hammon, 38, of Colorado City, AZ, at the residence. Hammon was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors, and later released. White was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mesquite Jail.
