Bullhead City Mayor Tom Brady is urging interested citizens to read and offer comment on a BLM proposal to try to sterilize female burros to slow the population growth of the wild animals.
Rapid growth in burro herds has prompted public safety concerns in and around Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City and there’s additional concern that too many animals are overtaxing habitat.
Brady said some controversy surroundd the BLM proposal to sterilize female burros. He citizens can read and offer comment the plan by logging on to the agency’s Kingman Field Office website.
“The document itself is riveting reading,” the mayor said, jokingly. “It will put you to sleep in no time at all.”
