The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in tracking down whoever opened fire on a group Monday night at a South Phoenix  trailer park at 35th Avenue and Southern. . Sheriff Joe Arpaio says, someone with a semi- automatic gun walked up to eight people watching fireworks and shot them

all. Two adults are dead, and four children, including a two year old, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff laments, “I thought we had a pretty good Fourth of July yesterday. (Monday) Almost made it until 10:30 p.m., and then bang, bang, bang, this happens.” He adds, firework  noises may have masked the gunfire, but neighbors may also be reluctant to come forward to provide information out of fear of retaliation.

The Sheriff says, it’s unknown whether the group was targeted or if this was a random shooting. He’s also unsure if a single gunman is responsible or if there’s more than one suspect. All that’s known is that the suspect is either White or Hispanic. If you have any information, call the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at 602-876-1011.
