Phoenix Police start off the new year dealing with a murder case. Police were called to a restaurant Wednesday morning about a guy who would not pay his bill. Officers were then directed to 23-year-old Mykel Cooper, who appeared mentally ill and apparently had no money.
The cops paid the bill, and at Cooper’s request, took him to a mental health facility. There, he told staff he stabbed his roommate and police discovered the body of 29-year-old Steven Horvoky at their home. Cooper has been booked into Maricopa County Jail for 1st Degree Murder.
