A relatively minor residential structure fire was doused by Bullhead City firefighters on May 18. Crews responded at 6:42 p.m. to the fire in the 1700 block of Taylor Road.

Arriving personnel observed light smoke coming from underneath the single-wide mobile home, according to public information officer Lorrae Viles.

“Crews located an active fire underneath the flooring area of the front bedroom,” Viles said in a news release. “Crews were able to pull the flooring and completely extinguish the fire quickly, keeping the fire contained to the bedroom area.”

No one was injured and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
