bracelets (1)          Mohave Electric Cooperative wants to remind teachers the deadline for the 18th Annual Classroom Grants Program is March 27, 2015. The program provides funding for expanded classroom learning opportunities in grades kindergarten through 12.

             Ten grants of $100 each will be awarded to teachers at schools within the Mohave Electric service area for projects based on need, creativity, benefit to students, age appropriateness, and integration with class curriculum. The grants may be used to purchase materials, supplies, equipment, or other essential items that support teachers’ special projects.

             Grant applications and program details are available to teachers through school district offices, by calling Lori Fonzi, Mohave Electric’s Public Affairs and Communications Coordinator at 928-758-0579or visiting:  Click on Community then Classroom Grants.

 The Classroom Grants Program is part of Mohave Electric’s Commitment to Community and gives teachers extra help to create innovative learning experiences that promote student achievement. Grants are funded through unclaimed capital credits, as provided by Mohave Electric bylaws, at no expense to the Cooperative.
