rt 66A mudslide over Historic Route 66 shut down both lanes of the highway late Tuesday morning. The Arizona Department of Transportation rushed clean up crews to the scene to clear mud and other debris from the historic highway, about thirty miles north of Kingman. The highway was reopened to one lane of alternating traffic by roughly 11:30 a.m. Both lanes reopened before noon.
