Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man who confessed to killing his wife. According to Deputy Dwight D’Evelyn with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office, 35-year-old Maria “Cecilia” Nava Pila’s body was discovered inside a mobile home in Rimrock last week. Pila suffered “trauma to the body from some
type of assault.” Pila’s husband, 43-year-old Manual Lopez-Moncada had been identified as a person of interest. Days later, Lopez-Moncada called authorities and turned himself in to police. Lopez-Moncada has allegedly confessed to the murder of his wife and was booked on a charge of murder.
