Phoenix is mourning the loss of one of their own.  The Navy SEAL killed at the hands of an ISIS terrorist attack in Iraq has been identified as Charles Keating, IV.  Keating graduated from Arcadia High School and went on to the Naval Academy after college where he became a Navy SEAL.  Pentagon officials say

the 31-year-old Navy SEAL was killed in a “coordinated and complex attack” by ISIS fighters north of Mosul. In honor Keating, Governor Doug Ducey has ordered all state flags be lowered to half staff.  Ducey released a statement, “Our state and nation are in mourning today over the loss of a U.S. serviceman – and one of America’s finest.  His death is a tragic reminder of the daily sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform – fighting evil and extremism on the front lines to protect freedom and democracy at home and throughout the world. Our thoughts, prayers and eternal gratitude are with Mr. Keating, his family, his fellow SEALs, and all of the brave Americans who’ve answered the call to serve.”

Keating’s grandfather was Charles H. Keating, best known for the illegal savings and loan scam in the 80’s. Charlie Keating leaves behind his parents, a brother, who is also a Navy SEAL, and a fiancé he was planning to marry in November.
