Kingman is somehow connected to an investigation of a deadly explosion last night in a rural Nevada community. Various press accounts indicate homes were damaged and a person was killed when a blast occurred in a residential street, possibly in a vehicle in the town of Panaca.

Deputy Kingman police chief Rusty Cooper at first this morning indicted he had no knowledge of any local connection to the Nevada explosion. By the lunch hour Cooper confirmed a “connection” and that he was aware of a location of interest.

Cooper, however, said he was not at liberty to provide further information. More information could come from a Nevada press today.
