Items of note include:

  • Area prices increased 0.5% in the second half of 2014, and 1.8% over the last 12 months
  • Energy prices decreased 1.7% over the year, influenced by declining gasoline prices (-5.9%)
  • Food prices rose 2.5% in the second half of 2014, while up 3.9% over the last 12 months
  • The all items less food and energy index increased 0.6% from the first half of 2014, and 2.0% over the past 12 months
