mayor nexonTwo elected officials completed their terms of office while four others began new terms during the November 25 Lake Havasu City Council meeting. Mayor Mark Nexsen offered thanks to outgoing Council members Dave McAtlin and Crystal Alger. “Thank you both so much for your service to our city,” Nexsen said. “As you know, sometimes it can be a thankless job. You both did a really good job. I know I appreciate it. I know your community appreciates it.” Alger, appointed to the council two years ago, was praised for her diligence and doing her homework. McAtlin was complimented for his quiet and careful approach during his eight years on the City Council. Council member Jeni Coke and Nexsen earned new terms of office during the summer fall election cycle. “Thank you to the community. I appreciate the support and confidence that you’ve given me over the last eight years and I look forward to working with you for the next four years and accomplishing great things for this wonderful, wonderful city,” Nexsen said. Beginning their first terms on the City Council are Michele Lin and Cal Sheehy. “I’m very excited to get to work for Lake Havasu,” Sheehy said. “I’m very grateful and honored to be part of the City Council and to be able to help lead direction and policy into the future.”
