Captain Dean McKie, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, had a special engagement in Oatman on December 14th. Captain McKie was greeted by the “Oatman Outlaws” with a generous donation.
For the past 15 years, the “Oatman Outlaws” have made donations for the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Christmas programs.
The Oatman Outlaws earn donations throughout the year from the public by staging an exciting gunfight show at high noon and 2:15 each day in the historic mining town of Oatman on Route 66. This gunfight show can be quite loud, but what’s a gunfight show without shots fired?
The group, headed by Rod “Outlaw Willie” Hall and his wife, Sultana, presented Captain McKie with their generous donation of $500. “The Oatman Outlaws enjoy making the holiday season special for the less fortunate children,” Hall said. Throughout the year the group also donates to the Shrine Fund which helps toward transporting children and their families to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
