Authorities have released the name of a Bullhead City police officer who shot a civilian during a September 18 scuffle. Officer Jason Biggers remains on paid administrative leave four days after the shooting.

Biggers has been with the department for 17 months.

Lake Havasu City police continue their independent investigation of the incident. Officer Biggers had responded to a domestic violence call before encountering the suspect identified as Frank Terriquez.

The 25-year old Bullhead City man was reportedly shot while brandishing a knife during the scuffle with officer Biggers. Authorities say Terriquez remains in critical, but stable condition at a Las Vegas hospital.
